Umayma is a blue tortie with white female. She was born on November 16, 2021, at Cattery Whitefields. She is polydactyl on all four paws and carries the classic Hemingway mutation, also known as “mittens.” This trait has been naturally selected within the breed and is part of the origin of the Maine Coon. It makes her not only unique but also a charming addition to the diversity of the breed. Umayma was neutered after her first and only litter. She was rehomed and now lives in The Hague, together with her daughter Madelief.

Character:

Umayma is a very intelligent cat. She is highly sensitive, gentle, and well attuned to people, yet also independent. Once you have earned her trust, she becomes an affectionate cuddle companion. Umayma has a bit of a diva side — she likes everything her way and knows exactly how to train her humans to meet her wishes.

Origin:

Umayma comes from Cattery Whitefields. Sadly, after 14 years, this cattery closed its doors in 2024. Since the beginning of my own cattery, I have always had wonderful contact with Marielle and have admired her cats. When she announced she was stopping, we looked together at how her beautiful Whitefields lines could be carried on, with the last female from her line: Umayma. A heartfelt thank you to Marielle and Ramòn for entrusting me with your last girl! I truly hope that all the passion you invested in this line for 14 years will not be lost, and that I can let you enjoy your “grandkittens” in the future.

Genetics:

Umayma is dilute and solid. She carries one copy of white spotting and may carry the mackerel pattern from her mother.

Mother Nuriyah

Nuriyah is a beautifully typed female and 3rd generation homebred from Cattery Whitefields. She comes from a lovely, well-tested line with low inbreeding. She is polydactyl and a blue tortie mackerel tabby with white. Nuriyah is quite the chatterbox and loves to be involved in everything. On top of that, she’s an absolute cuddlebug!

Conner is one of the last breedings from Cattery Abesh, which has unfortunately stopped breeding. He comes from a wonderful and thoroughly tested line. He is also a gentle and sensitive cat who feels most content when curled up on your lap. A true cuddlebug, he loves to rub against you at every opportunity to leave his scent.
