Maine Coon Cattery Macadamia

Miyu is a black tortie tabby blotched bicolour cat. For the first time in 8 years we have a torbie breeding cat that can also pass on the colour red. She was born on November 4, 2024. Miyu means "friendly beauty" in Japanese.

Character: Miyu is a very people-oriented cat. She is outgoing and wants to get involved in everything. The ideal assistant! She is also very active and smart, which fits in well within our Macadamia family. She is also a real cuddler and loves to sit on your lap.

Origin:

Miyu came our way unexpectedly. The breeder had asked me to take pictures of the litter, and Miyu stuck in my head and heart afterwards. Because I actually had no space for a new cat, I tried to find another breeder for this beauty, which did not work out. At 16 weeks she was still available, and when an experienced host family who was on my waiting list was looking for another cat friend, I didn't have to think twice.

Miyu comes from a mother line that consists of old Dutch lines. The father line is a combination of old Dutch lines and German show lines. Miyu's line is one of the last in the Netherlands that is not influenced by the hypertype from Eastern Europe. Miyu has a moderate type with an open and friendly expression, and is without extreme characteristics. She also has the naturally lower inbreeding coefficient that Dutch lines all had 5 years ago (without outcross or new foundation lines mixed in). We are proud to be given the opportunity to continue this line and hopefully secure it for the future. ​

Miyu lives in Heerhugowaard with Betty and her husband. We are grateful to Moniek, Jolien and Riemke for this beautiful girl!
